Internet Intensives

BedandBreakfast.com, RezOvation and Expedia, Inc. hit the road to bring you current and comprehensive information about Internet marketing, online reservations, yield management, and property management software. From August 2006 through August 2007, we hosted 13 workshops for over 700 innkeepers, and a good time was had by all. (For a full schedule of upcoming B&B conferences, please see our events calendar.)

We surveyed the participants and got some great suggestions to improve future workshops. Overall, the Internet Intensives were very well-received, with 88% of respondents saying they would recommend the experience to other innkeepers. More than 75% said they were either "very" or "extremely" satisfied with the speakers. Here are a few comments from the Charlotte, NC, workshop:

  • "Your workshop leaders are approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable – loved the informative tidbits added to each presentation!"
  • "The workshop speakers were animated and excited about the products. It was not boring for a moment."
  • "I had many doubts and concerns about online reservations. They were answered, and I now see it is the way to go."
  • "It is obvious that your presenters are well-versed in their material ... this was a comfortable learning experience."


Here are the confirmed dates for Internet Intensives:

  • November 13, Wells, ME, Coastal House Inn.
  • November 14, Camden, ME, Norumbega Inn.
  • March 2-3, 2008, Storm Lake, Iowa, in conjunction with the Iowa Bed & Breakfast Association.
  • March 3-4, 2008, IL, in conjunction with the Illinois Bed & Breakfast Association.


Anticipated but not yet finalized are workshops in South Carolina and California in January.

  • 11:30 RezOvation Desktop, GT, Booking Engine, Website DHP (design/hosting/promotion)
  • 12:30 Innkeepers’ Appreciation Luncheon
  • 1:30 Maximizing your membership: BedandBreakfast.com/Inns.com Marketing Opportunities
  • 2:30 BedandBreakfast.com/Expedia Online Reservations
  • 3:30 General Q&A; one-on-one appointments

Registration is absolutely free for BedandBreakfast.com, Inns.com, and/or RezOvation customers. Non-members pay only $99, which will be completely refunded if you purchase at least $99 in BedandBreakfast.com, Inns.com, and/or RezOvation products or services.
