Promoting the Industry
Marti Mayne Don't miss out on our winter promotions. Post your specials today for Christmas Open Houses, Romantic Getaways, and more.

Special Promotions

One of the best ways to promote your property is to attract media and consumer attention with inviting seasonal promotions. And the easiest place to publicize them is on our Special Deals page. Here's how:

Here's the free deal for Silver members and up:

  • Log in with your property ID and password, then click the "specials" link on the left-hand side of the page.
  • Under "Special Summary," click the theme of your choice (see below) and combine a promotional rate with whatever tempting treats or special event tickets your guests might enjoy--it's up to you.
  • Remember that creative offerings are more likely to attract media attention -- they make a better story.
  • To see the specials that have already been posted by your fellow innkeepers, visit our Specials page and click the drop down box marked "Select Special."

Bronze member??? Don't miss out on these specials. Try our 100 percent risk-free upgrade guarantee.

Publicity Leads

As a service to our members, BedandBreakfast.com will be alerting you as we learn about upcoming publicity leads. We regret that we cannot respond to every email you send, but are very grateful for the excellent responses. We'll be listing the responses in the Recent Publicity section below, and/or including them in our Press Room. Watch for emails with this subject line: "Urgent: Publicity Lead from BedandBreakfast.com." Depending on the assignment, these leads will be distributed to inns in a specific region or more widely.

Recent Publicity

We are thrilled with the response to our Publicity Leads from both our members and the media. During the month of October alone, we scored over 3.6 million impressions in 61 newspapers from Puerto Rico to Maine, along with radio stations as far as Cork, Ireland. Six of the most popular Internet e-zines also featured BedandBreakfast.com and its member inns. You can read all current press releases online.

"Our Halloween release, featuring ghost stories contributed by many of our member inns, got a wonderful response. Frommers.com sent the release to their 500,000 subscribers.
"A Room with a Boo! Things Go Bump in the Night in these B&Bs on Halloween" included 18 member inns around the U.S. Ben Gumm, Angel of the Mountains, Bethlehem, NH, told us that "during the past seven days, Frommers.com has been the top referring link to my website, a direct result of the web article initiated by BedandBreakfast.com."

American Woman Road & Travel also ran the entire press release on their website and radio stations from Cork, Ireland to West Palm Beach, Florida to Madison, Wisconsin to Calgary, Alberta interviewed Sandy Soule about ghostly B&B happenings.

Trudy Tynan, writing for the Associated Press, interviewed Marti Mayne for an article on fall foliage in New England. The article was picked up by dozens of papers around the U.S. during September. Laura Bly's fall foliage article for USA Today was picked up by the Gannett News Service, and received widespread additional coverage. Member inns recommended in the article included: Cliffside, Adele Turner and Abigail Stoneman inns of Newport, RI, as well as the Francis Malbone Inn. (September, 2002).

The Washington Post, in a list of top Internet travel sites, included only one B&B directory, and described BedandBreakfast.com as "a fine site for choosing a B&B." Forbes.com again listed BedandBreakfast.com as a top travel site.
