Special Promotions
One of the best ways to promote your property is to attract media and consumer
attention with inviting seasonal promotions. And the easiest place to publicize
them is on our Special Deals page.
Here's the free deal for Silver members and up:
Log in with your property ID and password, then click the "specials" link on
the left-hand side of the page. Under "Special Summary," click the theme of
your choice (ski deals, labyrinths, romance, bird watching packages, B&Bs
for lighthouse fans, cooking schools at your inn) and combine a promotional
rate with whatever tempting treats or special event tickets your guests might
enjoy--it's up to you.
Remember that creative offerings are more likely to attract media attention --
they make a better story.
To see the specials that have already been posted by your fellow innkeepers,

Publicity Leads
As a service to our members, BedandBreakfast.com will be alerting you when
we're working on potential stories. We regret that we cannot answer to every
email you send, but are very grateful for the excellent responses. When
responding, please don't forget to include your website, complete
address, and telephone. Unfortunately, tight deadlines don't
allow us the luxury of playing Sherlock Holmes to figure out who and where you
are! Here's a sample of the signature that should be on every email you send:

BedandBreakfast.com Publicizes Its Members
Working cooperatively with BedandBreakfast.com can have great results for us
all. Here's what Wendy & Sharon of the Two Sisters Inn, Manitou Springs, CO,
wrote: "Thanks for your wonderful promotional efforts. Our package was such a
success with all the great publicity you helped us receive both through
Frommer's and the Denver Post that the weekend was sold out almost instantly,
and we were able to pass the overflow onto other B&B's here in town. Thanks
for being in our corner!"
Anita Gill, of Harborlight Guest House, Cape Carteret, NC, writes: "Marti Mayne
has given more than 100 % to help me in a quest for possible exposure on NBC's
Today Show, in response to a media request for a Best Places To Propose
segment." Although the Today Show effort was not successful, the Harborlight
was able to convince a local TV station to cover their inn by publicizing the
fact that they were named as one of BedandBreakfast.com's top undiscovered
inns, combined with a feature in Coastal Living.
The Rochester Business Journal interviewed Susan Alvarez of the Edward
Harris House in Rochester, NY, and quoted Eric Goldreyer, plus a survey
completed by BedandBreakfast.com on industry trends.
The Courier Journal of Crescent City, FL, profiled Freda Leighton of the
Dream Chaser Inn, who noted that many guests find her on line through
BedandBreakfast.com. The Old Marshall House in Tennessee was featured in six
Arkansas newspapers after Marti Mayne arranged for a writer to stay with them.
About.com's Go New England featured the Sunset Hill House (Sugar Hill,
NH), a result of a BedandBreakfast.com press release on romantic getaways.
