2006 PAII Convention & Trade Show

2006 PAII Convention & Trade Show
March 31-April 4, Phoenix, Arizona

The premier event for the innkeeping industry travels to the beautiful Southwest, March 31-April 4. Get a jump on springtime sunshine in Phoenix, while fine-tuning your innkeeping savvy at the 2006 PAII National Convention & Trade Show. The Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) offers innkeepers educational programs for all skill levels, the largest innkeepers’ trade show in the world, plus the opportunity for unparalleled networking. The 2006 PAII Convention is shaping up to be the best ever; here’s why:

Quality Speakers: First-class speakers include Peter Greenberg, NBC’s Today show travel editor and expert on travel and tourism. Peter will share the latest trends in travel and hospitality and will discuss how they impact B&Bs and country inns.

Holly Stiel is a dynamic presence and a favorite voice of the hospitality industry. After 16 years as chief concierge in a 750-room hotel, Holly wrote three books on customer service and has been speaking and training hospitality staff for more than 10 years. She will speak on several topics, including “The Privilege of the Profession” and will reveal the important role innkeepers play in the lives of their guests.

Fun and information for all levels: PAII Convention workshops have something for everyone – aspiring, beginning, and experienced innkeepers. The workshops in Phoenix will have clearly designated levels as well as an indicator for workshops especially suited to small properties.

Are you a veteran innkeeper? Don’t miss the new Master Innkeeper™ Level Workshops geared to the continuing education needs of the experienced innkeeper. Workshops include: Mastering the Art of the Beautiful Plate; You, Your Inn, Your ROI; and In Search of Perfection: Standards and Consistency; plus many others!

“There are always more enticing workshops than there is time to attend them… I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The trade show alone is worth the registration fee.” – Phyllis Waye, Alma del Monte Spirit of the Mountain B&B, NM

If you’re new to the industry or are looking to learn what it’s really like, the pre-convention Aspiring Innkeepers Workshop is for you. Spend an exciting day (Friday, March 31) with highly experienced innkeepers and industry experts exploring innkeeping as a career, as a potential business opportunity and as your dream come true. The workshop will cover everything from acquisition and valuation to marketing and day-to-day operations in a fast paced, fact filled, fun day focused totally on aspiring innkeepers like you. (Extra fee.)

PAII Convention Workshops cover the topics of food, legal and financial, operations, marketing, technology, and you and your staff.

“We left this conference with over 100 specific ideas to implement in the next two years… Our biggest problem [was that there were] too many great sessions and not enough time.” – Terry Hammer, Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn, MO

Largest Trade Show in the Industry Especially for Innkeepers: One-stop shopping for all of your inn’s needs including linens, amenities, insurance, robes, mattresses, website designers, Internet directories, and much more.

“The trade show is worth the trip – and actually it is the reason we attended this conference. We know we can shop for almost everything we need in one place – it’s the Wal-Mart SuperCenter for the innkeeper’s needs!” – Linda Humphrey, Shiloh Morning Inn, OK

World-class networking: Meet innkeepers from all over the United States (and beyond), and share ideas and inspirations, shortcuts and successes during workshops, at meals, and even over a drink or two!
