Special Promotions
We're working on a number of press releases that will feature stories about
B&Bs, so stay on the lookout over the next few weeks for a series of publicity
leads emailed to you by BedandBreakfast.com.
We want to hear about specialty foods or homemade items produced at your B&B,
recipes and other food tips, sports and adventure packages, and some wacky and
wild festivals or events around which you create packages. Each of the releases
will be sent to approximately 1000 media outlets throughout the country. Each
press release will feature B&B descriptions and their tie-in to the story, and
will draw the media back to the Specials Page at BedandBreakfast.com Here are
the two tasks at hand, should you choose to accept them:
-
Respond to the publicity leads in a timely manner.
-
Post your special on the Special Packages page on BedandBreakfast.com. Not sure
how to post your special? Log in with your property ID and password, then click
the "specials" link on the left-hand side of the page. Under "Special Summary,"
click the theme of your choice (ski deals, labyrinths, romance, bird watching
packages, cooking schools at your inn) and combine a promotional rate with
whatever tempting treats or special event tickets your guests might enjoy--it's
up to you. Bronze member??? Don't miss out on these specials. Try our
100 percent risk-free upgrade guarantee.
-
To see the specials that have already been posted by your fellow innkeepers,
visit our
Specials page and click the drop down box marked "Select Special."
Tips for responding to Publicity Leads:
-
Include a complete signature at the end including your name, your B&B's name,
complete address, your phone number, your website and your email address.
-
Include the subject of the publicity lead you're responding to in the subject
line of your message.
-
Keep your response concise, and be sure to answer the question(s) asked.
-
Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today - respond immediately to
ensure that you're included.
Remember, you won't be included if you don't reply to the publicity
leads. Check below for some of the wonderful PR received by those who did
participate. Please understand that time constraints make it impossible for us
to answer each email. We're thankful to each of the innkeepers who take the
time to respond to the publicity leads. Although there are no guarantees,
sooner or later, the time you invest in publicity efforts will pay off.
