We want to promote your inn! We're working on two post-foliage, pre-Christmas press
campaigns to generate some publicity when you need it the most. Here's the deal:
Falling leaves, falling prices
Although most inngoers are willing to pay peak rates for peak foliage, demand tends to drift down with the
leaves. We want to show the media that B&Bs offer some great values, so we encourage
you to submit a special post-foliage package (Silver members and up). Log in with your
property ID and password, then click the "Specials" link on the left-hand side of the
page. Click "Add a New Special," then click "Special Summary." You'll see a drop box
with a choice of "Falling Leaves, Falling Prices" and "Christmas Open House." Use the
"Special Description" to combine a truly affordable off-season rate with whatever
tempting treats your guests might enjoy--it's completely up to you. Remember that
creative packages are more likely to attract media attention-they make a better story.
After posting your special, send an email to InnkeeperNews@BedandBreakfast.com
to let us know.
Christmas open houses
B&Bs in many communities around the U.S. participate in fund-raising holiday house tours,
typically in late November or early December. If you are participating in one, we
encourage you to post a package to promote it (see above for instructions) The package
need only include two tour tickets in the cost of a weekend stay, and doesn't have to
be elaborate. Most importantly, we need you to email us with the information on your
local program. Please send the dates, a brief description, web site (if available)
and contact information to InnkeeperNews@BedandBreakfast.com so that we can compile
a nationwide list for the media.
