One of the best ways to promote your property is to attract media and consumer attention with inviting
seasonal promotions. And the easiest place to publicize them is on our
Special Deals page. Here's how:
Here's the deal for Silver members and up:
- Log in with your property ID and password, then click the "specials" link on the left-hand side of the page.
- Under "Special Summary," click the theme of your choice (see below) and combine a promotional rate with whatever tempting treats or special event tickets your guests might enjoy--it's up to you.
- Remember that creative offerings are more likely to attract media attention -- they make a better story.
- To see the specials that have already been posted by your fellow innkeepers, go to
http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/specials/index.asp
and click the drop down box marked "Select Special."
Christmas open houses
Many communities around the U.S. sponsor Christmas open houses, giving the public a chance to tour B&Bs that have been beautifully decorated for the holidays, enjoy some refreshments, and contribute to an important cause or charity. Although these open houses may be well-known on a local basis, we want to tell the national media what the B&B industry is doing to support worthwhile local causes in the true spirit of the holidays.
Falling Temperatures, Falling Prices
Much of November, December, and January are slow travel months in many areas, making them a good time to offer some great values to travelers. A "stress-relievers" package, for example, might include an hour of massage therapy in your regular two-night rate.
History and Heritage
Looking ahead to January and February, think about working with local museums or historic societies to coordinate with such holidays as the birthdays of Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, or George Washington. Look to Gettysburg, PA, for some great examples: A Civil War Ball in January; a Meeting of Presidents Washington & Lincoln in February; and Custer Returns to Gettysburg in March.
Really Romantic
Promote the entire month of February for romance, not just February 14th, which falls on a Thursday in 2002.
