ADR and RevPAR: Why do I care?
 The
lodging industry has specific key indicators of financial status.
Two of those indicators are Average Daily Rate (ADR) and Revenue Per
Available Room (RevPAR). Many innkeepers have already started
tracking their ADR, but far fewer track their RevPAR. RevPAR is the

"I am the president of a Bay Area knitting group.
For the second year in a row, we held our annual retreat at the
Sonoma Orchid Inn. What a perfect place to spend time as a group. We
rented the entire B&B, and our hosts, Dana and Brian, accommodated
us in every way possible. We were able to spread out in the cozy
living room or lounge in the sun on the lawn. The rooms had great
natural light; but as soon as the sun went down, our hosts were
quick to offer us extra lamps so we could knit and chat as late as
we wanted. The meals were superb. For an entire year our group has
been craving Dana's oatmeal soufflé. It was even better than we
remembered. We just got back and are already looking forward to next
year's visit. I highly recommend this place for groups. It's a
