Here's a rundown of our newest offerings; for details, just log in to your home base with your property ID and password:
BedandBreakfast.com Innkeeper Message Boards: Make our just launched members-only message boards your "virtual water cooler" -- the place to go for the latest on industry issues, advice from your fellow innkeepers and industry vendors, and lots of honest opinions. All comments will be posted instantly, and with over 5,200 member properties and vendors, a lively debate on a wide variety of topics is sure to develop. We bought state-of-the-art software to bring you the most fun and functional message boards available.
To participate, log in to your home base with your property ID and password, then click Innkeeper Message Boards, under Free Member Benefits. Post a new comment or respond to an existing one, or browse the postings on current issues. You'll only have to register the first time; after that, it's programmed to remember you. Be sure to complete your profile (you can even include your photo!), so your signature file will appear automatically, and so fellow innkeepers can learn a little more about you. You can choose to be notified when comments are posted in particular interest areas, or for all areas, by selecting your preferences under Options, Mailing Lists and/or Watched Topics; under your Profile, you can also choose a digest or non-digest format for the emails.
Search Engines: To drive more traffic to your listing on BedandBreakfast.com, we fund major pay-for-placement ad programs with top search engines such as Google, Overture, and others, and are also investing significant time and money to optimize our free search results. As you know, on-going changes by the search engine companies require constant attention for success in this area, and we are making this a top priority as we wrap up 2003 and head into 2004.
Best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards: Don't miss out on this great B&B marketing opportunity. If you have not yet started telling your guests about this program, wait no longer! Increase your chances of being an award- winning B&B by posting a voting badge on your own website and distributing printed reminders to your guests. This brand-new program is sure to result in excellent publicity for the winning properties.
BedandBreakfast.com Press Room : Visit the Press Room to find a wealth of information on package ideas, travel advice for guests, press releases, and a complete editorial calendar, offering B&B story ideas for each month. Additionally, you'll find B&B industry history, facts and figures, travel tips, and advice columns. If you're being interviewed by a writer, please refer them to the press room for great background information.
BedandBreakfast.com Publicity Leads:. Every few months, we send you a text email, outlining upcoming publicity initiatives; we use many of the responses to create the press releases we send to the media. In addition, you can follow up on publicity leads by clicking the link on your home base. These are specific requests from travel writers needing information for stories. BedandBreakfast.com members have received thousands of dollars in free publicity by responding to these information requests.
Secondary Listings: To gain even broader exposure, add a second listing for your property in a nearby city.
Availability Calendar Linking Program: If you have an electronic availability calendar displayed on your website, you can link it to BedandBreakfast.com from your city page listing and from your full listing.
Hot Deals: Get the word out on last-minute availability to thousands of interested travelers.
Feature Your Property: Make your B&B or inn the "Featured Property" on your city, region and/or state page(s) to direct more potential guests to your website. Featured Property Auction bids start at only one penny per page view. An improved interface makes it easier than ever to place bids and track traffic.
Inn of the Month: Give your B&B or inn maximum exposure by making it the top-listed property on your city page. Most cities are available at the $50 minimum bid.
